TikTok will use Oracle as its US data auditor.
The social media site will route all US traffic through Oracle's cloud infrastructure.
Oracle and TikTok have reached an agreement under which Oracle will get all US user data from the social media platform and will also provide data management and auditing services to TikTok.
Oracle will also have access to TikTok's content algorithms and will be able to evaluate both the manual and automated content moderation systems. The transaction is a significant endeavour for Oracle because there are over 80 million customers in the US.
